ChoiceIndependence is a community of individuals combining our diverse talents and abilities to provide the highest quality advocacy, care and support for people with disabilities. We believe that all individuals are important to their communities and so we strive to create an environment that encourages independence and active community involvement. As advocates, we encourage individuals to exercise control over as much of their personal lives as their ability allows. We do as much as we can to enable the people we serve to choose where they live, work and how they spend their day. We strive to open doors and provide access to all aspects of the community. As a direct care provider we offer staff that is well trained and dedicated to improving the quality of life of those we serve. We offer support by means of a progressive approach to caregiving. At ChoiceIndependence we practice constant and consistent evaluation of our programs and practices. Our ultimate goal is to make our community a better place for those living with disability.

I never doubted my ability, but when you hear all your life you're inferior, it makes you wonder if the other guys have something you've never seen before. If they do, I'm still looking for it.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them—a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.
I am what time, circumstance, history, have made of me, certainly, but I am also, much more than that. So are we all.
